[RESOLVED] No Connectivity - Bruny Island Tasmania

Dear Fixed Wireless Customers,

Please be advised that any customers connected to our Bruny Island access point will not have connectivity until further notice. The following are the areas affected:

  • Tinderbox
  • Kettering 
  • Oyster Cove
  • Brighton

*The outage has been fixed as of 2:58PM Today.

Important Technical Support Update

Dear Clear Networks Customers, 

We have noticed some routers wherein their DNS settings are configured to 85.93.5.142 - this may slow down your connection. We are currently working on correcting this remotely. This is only for routers whose remote access is enabled in their router. To check your DNS, see below:

For Windows

  1. Go to the Start/Windows Menu (lower left hand corner) > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
  2. In the blinking cursor, type the following: ipconfig/all
  3. Look for "DNS Servers. "  The DNS Servers should be: 202.0.155.5 and 202.0.155.7

For Mac:

  1. Open System Preferences, either from the Dock or the Apple menu > System Preferences then click on the "Network icon"
  2. In the left-hand pane, choose the network connection you want to check (ethernet, wireless, etc)
  3. Select the Advanced button and the DNS tab.

If you need assistance, please call support at 1 300 855 215 or send an email to support@clearnetworks.com.au. If you are using a router that is not supplied by Clear Networks, please call the respective manufacturers.

Unable To Access Facebook

For users who are experiencing issues accessing Facebook, please set your DNS to 202.0.155.5 and 202.0.155.7. If you need assistance in doing this, please call support at 1 300 855 215

Issues Accessing Facebook - LTSS Customers

Dear NBN Skymuster Users, 

We have identified an issue wherein users are not able to access http://www.facebook.com and some other sites. We are aware of the issue and our network engineers are working on getting it fixed. No ETR as of yet.
